Internet Addiction. It’s time.

The Growth of Internet popularity is growing and worrying about its excessive use. It is not without reason, because excessive use of the Internet can often lead to pathological addiction, often referred to as a technological addiction. Technological dependence is defined as non-chemical or drug-free addiction, which involves the interaction of man and machine. This addiction can be passive (e.g. television) and active (e.g. computer games). Whether the pathological Internet users are really addicts is a controversial issue. Pathological online behavior involves addiction, obsessive thoughts, impaired control, inability to stop. But are internet addicts really addicted? To be really addicted it is necessary to experience serious life consequences that result from their behavior, such as the Loss of work or dissolution of marriage etc. However This component is not only an estimation of internet dependence, so many internet addicts do not belong to addicts at all. It is Also known that addictions develop in phases over a period of time. This means that it is possible to be a ‘ ‘ little addicted ‘ ‘ showing only some of the symptoms of addiction, or even more of them and yet lead a normal life, although excessive internet use leads to various problems. The Problem of internet addiction is intertwining with the domain of normal media consumption, because it is a small boundary between the upper limit of normal consumption and the creation of addiction. Internet users actively choose data from websites, leading to the assumption of use. However, in the later stages of addiction, Internet users lose the ability to actively choose and seek information, because they are more and more imposed, thanks to the interactivity of the dormitory. Let’s take an example of online magazines. If we have a daily reading routine on-line magazines, initially maybe just one or two sources, eventually we will look for more sources, and more information, even those that we do not need. We Inadvertently fall into a marketing trap that has experienced a real little revolution on the Internet, and we take whatever it offers. We don’t just keep on the important things we came for, which is why we’re here, but we’re going for irrelevant links, and just because we’re well-packaged. This leaves the “normal consumption” domain and we become addicted to finding information without even realizing it.
The Internet provides an abundance of opportunities for social interaction, as opposed to conventional media. On-line activity is largely motivated by seeking gratification through interaction. Interactive applications such as discussion groups, chat rooms, e-mail, social services, etc. are designed to meet the need for social interaction, including the creation of new links and maintenance of existing ones. Empirical research shows that there are more satisfying factors that attract us on the Internet. Charney and Greenberg have described the eight factors of satisfaction on the Internet:

c) Equality of identity
D) Good Feelings
e) Communication
f) Scenes and sounds
g) Career and
h) Trend.
The Search for information and communication are the most represented in the time spent online. Numerous search engines, Google, Bing, Altavista and many others who offer a lot of information in one place, just one click from our armchair, and in the nature of a man is that they want to know everything, and we are just looking, and what we do not need, and time goes. Communication on the other hand contributed to numerous chat rooms on the internet, and so we come to the two factors that make us spend most of our time on the Internet. But We often wonder if all this leads to internet addiction?
